Which Type of Breathwork Is Right for You Right Now?
Breathwork is about attunement, not formulas. By slowing down and softening, you can reconnect with your body, your life force and a form of inner wisdom that reaches beyond thought.
We all breathe, but at different times in life, we may need different things. Sometimes we need gentleness, space and rest. At other times, movement, expression or a more intense breathing experience may feel appropriate.
It’s not just about the technique itself, but how it meets you where you are — your physical and emotional state, and what you feel ready to work with at this moment. A breathing practice that helps one person relax may feel intense or unsettling for someone else.
True attunement begins with meeting yourself where you are
Together, we explore which form of Breathwork may be right for you at this moment, taking into account your intentions, your capacity and your physical and emotional wellbeing.
“Meet yourself where you are, and give yourself what you need”
Depending on the approach and the support offered, Breathwork can help support:
☆ Relaxation and grounding
☆ Awareness and emotional regulation
☆ A deeper connection with your body and feelings
☆ Expression and emotional processing
☆ New perspectives and insights
☆ Expanded states of consciousness
Regulating or Activating Breathwork?:
Regulating Breathwork – Space for Calm and Stability
Regulating Breathwork focuses on a sense of safety, calm, body awareness and supporting self-regulation. Together, we explore which breathing rhythm, pace and intensity feel appropriate for you at this moment.
This approach may be supportive when you’re experiencing stress, overstimulation, anxiety, burnout-related symptoms, physical tension, difficulty relaxing or difficulty connecting with your feelings.
You learn to recognise your body’s signals more clearly and discover how your breath can support a greater sense of grounding, balance and presence. It’s not about forcing anything, but about listening carefully to what your body is telling you.
Breath Journey – Space for a More Intense Experience
During a Breath Journey, we work with a more intensive breathing practice, such as Conscious Connected Breathing. This can bring you into contact with deeper layers of your experience. Emotions, memories, images or bodily sensations may come to the surface. Sometimes, new insights emerge or your state of consciousness shifts.
Such an experience can feel liberating, revealing or transformative, but it cannot be forced or predicted. Intensive Breathwork can also feel overwhelming or destabilising, which is why it calls for careful guidance and attention to your individual circumstances.
Sometimes, a Breath Journey may be what you’re looking for. At other times, it may be more helpful to first develop a greater sense of calm, stability or body awareness.
What Is Right for You?
There are many paths towards greater awareness, connection and inner clarity. Sometimes through activating Breathwork, and sometimes through stillness, body awareness, psychological guidance or energetic work.
